I started my career working with survivors of trauma in a variety of clinical settings, where I observed the patterns that emerge from chronic states of crisis. My goal in working with anyone, regardless of the severity of their symptoms, is to help them find safety in a relationship: when this happens, recovery can begin. In private practice, I work with people who experience anxiety and depressive disorders, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship issues, identity themes and other experiences.
I draw from a broad range of interventions and styles, and my approach to therapy will ultimately be based your unique needs and goals. At the core of our work, I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you'll be able to explore your feelings and experiences as they are.
Finding the right words to express how we feel and what we experience is in itself a powerful and healing skill, which we will practice in therapy. We will naturally build on your existing strengths to empower you to change areas of your life that no longer work for you.
