Great to meet you!

I believe meaningful relationships begin with self-awareness, and that therapy should feel both intentional and deeply human. I want you to feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported while doing the work. Whether you’re navigating conflict in a partnership, healing from past patterns, exploring identity, or reconnecting with yourself, I offer a warm, affirming space where clarity, curiosity, and meaningful change can unfold.

As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I work with couples, families, and individuals, serving a genuinely diverse clientele of adults ages 19 to 70+ across a wide range of experiences, identities, and life stages. My background in the arts and mental health shapes how I practice, bringing a deep appreciation for creativity, nuance, presence, and the many ways we communicate beyond words. I’m culturally responsive and curious about the whole person, not just the part that brought you into therapy. I may create a resource specifically for you, find a different way to approach something when words aren’t enough, or occasionally ask what you’ve been listening to lately.

My practice welcomes people of color, LGBTQ+ clients, creatives, and anyone navigating a complicated chapter who wants to feel fully seen without having to translate who they are. My intention is to create a space where you can be honest, explore what matters, and feel supported enough to do meaningful work, even when the work is hard.

My approach to therapy

I work from a systemic lens, which means I look at relationships with others and with yourself as the context for understanding what brings you to therapy. I work with couples to cultivate trust, emotional safety, communication, and intimacy, while supporting individuals in exploring self-worth, identity, attachment, boundaries, and the patterns that shape how they move through relationships and life.

My approach draws from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, and IFS, somatic approaches, trauma-focused CBT, narrative therapy, and ACT across my work. But the framework always follows the person, not the other way around. Therapy should meet you where you are, while helping you develop greater awareness, intention, and capacity for meaningful change.

My background in the arts also informs how I practice. I bring a deep appreciation for nuance, presence, and the things that are sometimes communicated before they can be put into words. I'm warm, direct, curious, and collaborative. I slow down for the work that deserves more attention and create space for what is actually happening, not just what you think should be happening.

What you can expect from me

Intentionality is central to my practice, and curiosity serves as my compass. Expect to be met, not assessed. Our first session is a conversation, not an intake form read back to you. We’ll begin by talking about what brings you to therapy, a little of where you’ve been, and what you’re hoping might shift. I’ll have reviewed your history beforehand, and we’ll use what you’ve shared as a starting point, while creating space to understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may sit between the lines.

I may ask questions that surprise you about your rhythms, your creative life, the texture of your days, or the ways you experience yourself and your relationships. I want to understand the whole picture while making sure you feel comfortable, welcomed, and free to be yourself. Our first session is also an opportunity for us to begin building a meaningful therapeutic relationship and for you to get a sense of how I work.

By the end, you’ll have a sense of whether this feels like the right fit, and I’ll have a better understanding of how to begin building something with you that is actually designed for your needs- not a generic plan, but a thoughtful therapeutic process that supports deeper self-connection, emotional capacity, and meaningful change.
