Great to meet you!

I believe healing involves the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I'm Valari Whatley, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. I believe counseling should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported as you work through life's challenges.

I help adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, and emotional overwhelm. Whether you're feeling stuck in painful patterns, carrying wounds from your past, or simply struggling to feel like yourself, you don't have to navigate it alone.

My Christian faith is central to who I am. I believe Jesus is the ultimate healer and that clinical counseling can be a meaningful part of the healing journey. I welcome faith into our work together for those who desire it, while respecting each client's individual beliefs and values.

I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University and practice under the supervision of Katie Bowman, M.Ed., LPC-S.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed, recognizing that meaningful healing involves the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

I integrate Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, and IFS-informed interventions to help clients understand their emotional patterns, develop practical coping skills, and process difficult experiences.

As a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, I offer a brain-body approach that can be especially valuable when emotions or past experiences are difficult to put into words.

For clients who desire Christian counseling, I welcome Scripture, prayer, and biblical principles into our sessions. My heart is to create a safe, grounded, and Spirit-led environment where clients can explore their stories, strengthen their relationship with Jesus, and pursue emotional and spiritual healing.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust.

We'll talk about what brought you to counseling, the challenges you're experiencing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You don't need to have all the answers or share every detail of your story right away.

My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we identify your goals and develop a plan that fits your individual needs.

As we continue working together, we'll explore underlying patterns, build practical skills, and make room for meaningful emotional healing at a pace that feels right for you.

I want you to leave sessions feeling understood, encouraged, and better equipped to navigate life with renewed hope.
