Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, unresolved trauma, identity concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Many of my clients are the people others depend on. They are capable, conscientious, and deeply committed to their responsibilities. They are often the problem-solvers, caregivers, and leaders in their families, workplaces, and communities. Others see them as resilient and successful, yet beneath the surface they carry immense pressure and rarely give themselves permission to slow down.

Over time, constantly meeting expectations—both their own and those of others—can lead to anxiety, emotional exhaustion, resentment, and a growing sense of disconnection from themselves. They may struggle to set boundaries, ask for support, tolerate mistakes, or feel worthy unless they are accomplishing, producing, or taking care of everyone around them.

I view each person within the broader context of their lived experiences, relationships, culture, and social environment. My work is informed by a culturally responsive lens that recognizes how race, culture, gender, identity, and social expectations shape mental health and well-being. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood.

Therapy is not about fixing who you are. It is about developing greater awareness, self-compassion, and flexibility in responding to life's challenges. My goal is to create a space where you can move beyond survival mode, strengthen your relationships, and build a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and aligned with your values.

Whether you are navigating a major life transition, struggling with perfectionism, processing past experiences, or feeling exhausted from carrying more than your share, therapy can offer an opportunity for meaningful growth and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to the needs of each client. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support meaningful and lasting change.

I believe many of our struggles develop as adaptations to difficult experiences, expectations, or roles we have carried for years. Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, and protective strategies that may have once served a purpose but no longer align with the life you want to live. Through greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and psychological flexibility, therapy becomes an opportunity to develop a healthier relationship with yourself, your emotions, and your experiences.

While I value practical tools and strategies, I also believe lasting change often requires understanding the deeper stories we carry about ourselves and creating space for the parts of us that have been overlooked, burdened, or working hard to protect us.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, relevant life experiences, and the challenges you are currently facing.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Some clients come in with clear goals, while others simply know that something is not working the way it used to. My role is to provide a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin identifying patterns that may be contributing to your current struggles.

By the end of our first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of how we might work together and what the therapeutic process may look like moving forward.
