Great to meet you!

I have over 10 years of experience as a trauma informed counselor and I am passionate about helping clients to resolve past issues that prevent them from reaching current goals. It is important to me that my clients feel comfortable and safe in session, so I often seek feedback from my clients on what works for them. I believe it is critical to be a lifelong learner, and I'm always trying to develop new skills and gain new knowledge to bring to my practice,

My approach to therapy

I work using evidenced based practices to help client develop insight and skills to reach their goals. I frequently pull for DBT, CBT and ACT models of treatment. For client who are interested in trauma resolution, I offer EMDR as well as other evidenced based practices. I feel it is important for clients to lead sessions at a pace they feel comfortable with and to cover topics important to clients.

What you can expect from me

During an intake session I will start by introducing myself and answering any questions you have about how I practice. I will review confidentiality and expectations. I gather information from you for a biopsychosocial assessment and work to understand your treatment goals. I usually end by sharing my diagnostic impressions and initial thoughts on treatment plan.
