Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Valerie Noblin, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the District of Columbia.I have earned a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Howard University. I have over 25 years of experience in clinical settings, with adults (25+ years) who have presented with symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, stress-related issues, trauma, and addictions.

My approach to therapy

I possesses empathic traits, and my approach to therapy is Person-centered, strength-based, with an underlying perspective grounded in Existentialism, where I assist persons towards fully integrating their personal experiences for growth and healing. I combine holistic perspectives found in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies and Mindfulness techniques.

What you can expect from me

I am fully invested in assisting clients in expanding their understanding of their current stressors by providing tools for further introspection and insight. I pose reflective questions and "hold space" for authentic self-expression.

My role or “journey” as a therapist is to join, assist and guide clients towards recognizing and addressing those lessons in their experiences to both heal and create a reality that best supports their positive expression while on their “journey” too.
