Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience helping children, teens, couples, and families find healing and strength in the face of hardships and challenges that could destabilize any of us. I am easy-going, open-minded, and very direct and intentional with my help and support. I would happily accept the privilege of getting to know you and discovering positive ways forward, together. I have a diverse cultural and ethnic background and have always related well to others, enjoying more than anything else to be in service to anyone who needs a hand during a hard time. I am hopeful and positive, and I believe we can all change our circumstances with a little guidance.

My approach to therapy

I practice by developing an accepting, warm, and welcoming relationship with clients with trust as the foundation. I will depend upon deeply listening, being curious and questioning, and will even rely upon humor during our sessions as we collaborate to find new ways of bringing hope and healing to difficult situations and circumstances. I am comfortable helping clients manage relational difficulties and individual mental health challenges (anxiety, depression), and I am skilled at understanding and treating the wide array of impacts trauma can make which impede growth and happiness.

What you can expect from me

Our early few sessions will require my curiosity and inquisitiveness in information-gathering so that I can develop a deep understanding of your goals and hopes for improvement. If you haven't yet fully considered how therapy might be of use to you, I am happy to collaborate with you to develop those goals and intentions.
