Great to meet you!

Hello!

My name is Valerie Wade. I am a Masters-prepared LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) with over 35 years of experience working in corporate and clinical settings including inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, private practice, medical and training. I have assisted clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, relationship challenges, parenting problems, substance use and self-esteem issues.

My approach to therapy

My therapy style is warm and interactive with a good dose of humor when appropriate. I will be honest with you but gentle and compassionate. I employ personalized strategies and techniques. My approach is driven by a client-centered philosophy which integrates cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment and solution-focused therapy.

What you can expect from me

Recognizing that we may strongly desire change and yet feel stuck or paralyzed, I’ll meet you where you are on your change pathway, and we will walk together towards the change you want.

I look forward to becoming a part of your journey!
