Great to meet you!

Before becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I taught French at various levels. In the classroom, I often found myself attuned to my students’ emotional struggles, and over time, I realized that what I really wanted was to support people in a deeper, more lasting way. As someone who’s always been empathic and drawn to meaningful connection, becoming a therapist felt like a natural path.

I started out working in schools and college counseling centers, where I connected especially well with young adults. That experience inspired me to pursue psychodynamic training at a psychoanalytic institute, where I deepened my understanding of how people grow and heal. For the past 16 years, I’ve been in private practice, working with individuals from many different backgrounds and life experiences.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic thinking, with a strong emphasis on creating an empowering and empathic space. To quote Carl Jung, “I am not what has happened to me; I am what I choose to become.” This quote captures the heart of my work with clients. I strive to help people move beyond old patterns and painful experiences toward a more authentic and fulfilling sense of self. I provide a safe and supportive space where clients can explore emotional and social challenges with an engaged, understanding presence. I’m fully present in session—attuned and responsive—while also knowing when to step back and allow space for reflection. I believe that meaningful change comes through insight, connection, and choice, and I see therapy as a collaborative process of becoming your best self.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, clients often take away a deeper understanding of themselves, greater clarity about their emotional patterns, and an increased sense of agency in their lives. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and relational thinking, which means we’ll look not only at current challenges but also at the underlying patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others. When helpful, I offer reflections or “homework” between sessions—small but meaningful ways to carry the work of the room into your daily life. Over time, therapy can help you feel more empowered, more connected, and better able to make choices that align with who you truly are. The process can be both reflective and transformative—and I’m here to walk that path with you.
