Great to meet you!

My name is Van Nguyen, a licensed clinical therapist with a Masters in Social Work and over twenty years of experience. I have helped my clients resolve attachment issues by guiding them towards understanding the importance of secure attachment when it comes to mental health and well-being. I enjoy working with diverse populations and focusing on attachment theories and methods to achieve harmony within oneself and others. I take clients in two languages— Vietnamese and English.

My approach to therapy

I use evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR, and Play Therapy. My 20 years of experience are a testament to my commitment and passion for this work. Life's struggles don't end, and how we manage through life makes it meaningful.

What you can expect from me

You might regularly hear your friends or family give you advice such as "Just get over it; don't dwell on your feelings," causing you to deny your feelings and force yourself not to be hurt because of your perceived expectations from others. During your first couple of sessions, you will learn what it is like to not walk this healing journey alone. I will be with you, walking you through the discomfort of finding yourself.
