Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Vanessa!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. My goal is to help you build resilience, gain insight, and cultivate a greater sense of inner peace while navigating life's challenges.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree from California State University, Bakersfield, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based and client-centered care. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

I typically work with adolescents and adults of all ages, experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, stress, and life transitions. I also enjoy helping clients bridge communication gaps, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of connecting with the people who matter most.

Whether you're struggling with overwhelming emotions, unresolved grief, or recurring patterns in your relationships, we'll work together to identify practical tools and lasting solutions.

My therapeutic approach is tailored to each client's unique needs and draws from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based interventions, and trauma-informed care. I believe that healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and authenticity.

Seeking therapy is a courageous first step. Whether you're facing a difficult season or simply looking to better understand yourself and grow, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

During our first session, I'd like to learn about your current situation as well as your personal background so I can complete a comprehensive assessment and better understand what has brought you to therapy. If appropriate, we'll also identify your reasons for seeking treatment, discuss your expectations for therapy, and begin setting meaningful goals that align with what you hope to achieve.

I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so there is no pressure to have everything figured out before you arrive. We'll work together to develop a plan that feels right for you, and you'll have the opportunity to ask questions, share any concerns, and discuss what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
