Great to meet you!

I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore, where I lived for much of my twenties. With over seven years of experience in community mental health, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan and bring a deep appreciation for the diverse stories and strengths people carry.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a space to slow down and honor the stories you carry — the experiences, relationships, and moments that have shaped you. Together, we listen closely to what has been lived and felt, while cultivating tools and insights that support new ways forward. Our work may include learning to steady emotions and ease stress, gently tending to the impacts of trauma, nurturing self-compassion and mindful awareness, and deepening connection with yourself and with others.

I draw from a range of evidence-based, trauma-informed practices, thoughtfully woven to meet each person where they are. These include Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindful Self-Compassion, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, cognitive and behavioral approaches, Behavioral Activation, parts-informed work, Somatic Therapy, and relational and interpersonal approaches.

My intention is to offer a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where you can explore challenges, practice new ways of being, and create meaningful change at your own pace.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to connect, ask questions, and get a feel for working together. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, your goals for therapy, and any past experiences with counseling, while also attending to comfort, pacing, and safety. This session is collaborative and low-pressure, offering space to begin building trust and clarity around how therapy can support you.
