Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and more than eight years of experience in psychiatric care. I’ve spent my career in community mental health and crisis stabilization, working with children, adolescents, and adults through some of the hardest moments of their lives, including depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and substance use. Because I’m also trained in family medicine, I look at the whole person: your physical health, your mental health, and how the two affect each other. Whatever brings you here, I’ve likely walked alongside someone facing something similar, and I’m here to help you find stability and move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and centered on you. I believe medication can be a powerful tool in recovery, but it works best as part of a bigger plan that includes therapy, support, and your own goals. I take time to explain your diagnosis and your treatment options in plain language, so you understand why we’re making each decision and feel confident in your care. I work closely with your therapists and the rest of your treatment team so everyone is on the same page. Recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions isn’t a straight line, and I meet each person where they are with patience, honesty, and respect.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about what’s been going on for you, your mental health and substance use history, your physical health, any medications you’re taking or have tried, and what you’d like to get out of treatment. There are no wrong answers, and you can share at whatever pace feels comfortable. By the end, we’ll talk through what I’m seeing, answer your questions, and build a starting plan together, which may or may not include medication. You’ll leave knowing what comes next and that you have a partner in your care.
