Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Vanessa! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 6 years of experience supporting adults across a wide range of settings: community mental health centers, outpatient programs, intensive case management, and educational environments. I've worked with clients navigating everything from developmental disabilities and severe mental illness to everyday life challenges, and I bring that breadth of experience into every session. Think of me as your emotional cheerleader. I'm here to highlight your strengths and help you move toward the life you want, whatever that looks like for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is genuinely client-centered. I meet you where you are, without judgment. I draw from a blend of Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), and Solution-Focused approaches, choosing what fits you best rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. Whether you want to process the past or focus on navigating your present challenges, I create a safe, open space for you to share and work through what you're experiencing. Most of my clients tell me that talking with me feels like speaking to someone familiar, comfortable, real, and easy to be honest with.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about presence. I want you to feel relaxed and free to share whatever is on your mind without pressure. There's no script or checklist; it's simply a conversation where I get to understand your story and what brought you here. From there, we'll start to identify your goals together, because a weekly check-in on progress is something I value highly. It's how we stay accountable and make sure therapy is actually working for you. I work with individuals aged 16–90, so wherever you are in life, there's a place for you here.
