I am a licensed clinical social worker based in New York City. I specialize in individual and couples psychotherapy. I graduated from NYU and have 10+ years of experience working with adults and families in a variety of settings, including hospital psychiatric emergency room and and community clinics.
I specialize in individual psychotherapy and my style is dynamic and interactive while acknowledging the unique needs of each individual. I believe the therapeutic relationship can lead to insights, healing, and change. I provide a safe and supportive space to explore, challenge, and understand the issues that may be causing you concern. My therapeutic philosophy draws from a variety of disciplines, including a relational and psychodynamic perspective based on empathy, compassion, and collaboration. I also have training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices. I see my role as a collaborator, helping you arrive at greater personal insights with the goal of living a more joyful and fulfilling life.
Thank you for considering therapy — I’m glad you’re here. In our first session you can expect a warm, collaborative conversation where I learn about your background, what’s brought you to therapy now, and what you hope to change or understand. I’ll explain confidentiality and how therapy typically works, answer any questions you have, and we’ll talk about practical details (session length, frequency, and fees).
