Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with eight years of experience providing mental health services to individuals navigating trauma, stress, life transitions, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of need, which has strengthened my ability to meet each client where they are.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood without judgment. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you better understand yourself, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop the tools and confidence needed to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and informed by trauma-focused principles. I believe that developing awareness of the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors can create meaningful opportunities for change.

Together, we will identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, challenge unhelpful or distorted thinking, and focus on practical solutions and effective coping strategies. I believe therapy should be collaborative and individualized—not a one-size-fits-all process.

My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, strengthen your ability to navigate difficult emotions and situations, and build sustainable skills that support your overall sense of wellness. I want you to leave therapy with tools you can use beyond the therapy room and a greater sense of confidence in your ability to manage life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding your story, your current concerns, and what you would like to accomplish through therapy. We will discuss relevant background information, explore the challenges that brought you to counseling, and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you.

You can expect a collaborative conversation rather than feeling like you are simply being evaluated or asked a series of questions. Depending on your needs, I may use clinical screenings or assessments to gain a clearer understanding of your symptoms and overall functioning. These tools help inform treatment, but they do not define who you are.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself. Therapy takes trust, and that trust develops over time. My goal from the beginning is to create a safe, respectful environment where we can work together toward meaningful and lasting change.
