Great to meet you!

Many of the people I work with grew up in families where their emotions were not always fully supported or understood. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, overthinking, people pleasing, or difficulty trusting yourself and setting boundaries. Even when things look fine on the outside, it can feel exhausting trying to manage everything internally.

I specialize in working with adults navigating patterns connected to emotionally immature family dynamics, relationship stress, and self-doubt. My approach is trauma informed and integrates parts work and attachment based therapy. We focus on understanding where these patterns come from and how to shift them so you can respond differently, feel more grounded, and build real self-trust.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education supporting children and families, where I saw how early experiences shape emotional and relational patterns. I later worked in community mental health with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and provide culturally responsive care that respects each client’s background and experience.

If you are looking to better understand yourself, set clearer boundaries, and change patterns that no longer work for you, therapy can be a place to start.

My approach to therapy

My approach is active, collaborative, and focused on helping you understand and change patterns, not just talk about them. Sessions are a mix of slowing things down, noticing what is happening in real time, and making sense of how your reactions developed. We look closely at patterns like overthinking, people pleasing, and self-doubt, especially when they connect to earlier family dynamics.

I use trauma informed care and parts work to help you understand the different sides of yourself, including the part that pushes you, the part that protects you, and the part that feels stuck. Instead of trying to get rid of these parts, we work to understand them so you can respond with more clarity and choice.

This approach is both insight oriented and practical. Along with deeper understanding, we focus on how to apply changes in your day to day life, especially in relationships, boundaries, and decision making. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, trust yourself more, and respond differently in situations that used to feel automatic.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we focus on getting a clear picture of what is bringing you in and what you want to be different. You do not need to have everything figured out ahead of time. We will move at a pace that feels manageable and start where you are.

We will talk through current concerns as well as patterns you have been noticing, especially in areas like overthinking, people pleasing, and relationships. I may ask questions to help connect what is happening now to earlier experiences, but there is no pressure to go deeper than you are ready for.

You can expect the session to feel conversational but guided. My role is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing and begin identifying a direction for our work together. By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of what we will focus on and what the next steps may look like.
