Great to meet you!

I support adults, teens, children, and families facing a wide range of mental health and life challenges. These may include anxiety, stress, depression, relationship struggles, family conflict, emotional overwhelm, trauma, or difficulties with communication and boundaries. You might also feel stuck in repeating patterns or uncertain about how to move forward. I work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in their ability to handle life’s challenges. My approach values each person and family’s unique story, meeting every client with compassion, respect, and an understanding of their individual needs.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative and honest process centered on you and tailored to our unique needs and goals. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Using CBT, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another and identify patterns that may be contributing to your challenges. Solution-focused techniques help me identify your strengths, build on what is working, and develop practical steps toward your goals. Mindfulness supports awareness of the present moment and helps you respond to difficult emotions with greater intention. A trauma-informed approach emphasizes emotional safety, trust, and an understanding of how life experiences can share your well-being. My style is compassionate yet direct. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgemental space where you feel heard while also being encouraged to recognize patterns, explore new perspectives, and make meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll start with introductions and a conversation about what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, important life experiences, and what you hope to get from counseling. I’ll ask questions to better understand your needs, and together we’ll set some initial goals and decide on next steps for treatment. You’ll have time to ask questions and share any thoughts or worries about the process. You’re in control of what you choose to share, and there’s no pressure to cover everything right away. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I aim to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and optimistic about the work ahead. We’ll move at a pace that comfortable for you as we work toward meaningful change.
