
As a BIPOC therapist, I understand the importance of ensuring all people have access to culturally attuned therapists. Many BIPOC face historical trauma and current stressors that deeply negatively impact their mental health. Many of these stressors create issues surrounding self-worth, create core negative beliefs that continue to create mental health issues that have been passed down for generations. As therapy becomes less stigmatized in BIPOC communities I hope to continue to help people.
As a trauma-informed relational therapist, I believe many of our clients are shaped by the earliest relationships they've had with a parent or caregiver. I've also come to understand there is no one approach to use with every client. In collaboration with my clients, I use a variety of approaches what a basis and psychodynamic cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness techniques. . Clients generally know they want to feel better and don't know what approach a therapist should use.
I provide a safe, judgment-free zone to help you learn more helpful ways to relate to yourself, grow, and heal. Together, we will work on addressing your current struggles and exploring and unpacking how your past plays a role in your present life. As we work together, you are always at the center because you are the expert in your life.
