Great to meet you!

Hi my name is Vanita, I help individuals who struggle with anxiety, excessive worry, or life transitions that leave them feeling uncertain or disconnected. Many of my clients feel emotionally overwhelmed and want to gain better control over their thoughts and behavior. Together, we focus on developing healthier ways to cope—learning practical tools to calm the mind, manage stress, build emotional balance and so much more. My clients often seek peace, confidence, and a stronger connection to their faith, and they leave therapy feeling understood, empowered, and equipped with tools that help them achieve lasting change.

My journey as a therapist has been shaped by years of diverse, global experience—as both an Air Force veteran and a military spouse. These roles have given me a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for resilience, adaptability, and the human capacity for growth. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, which has enriched my understanding of the complexities of the human experience.

Through my education and years of experience, I’ve witnessed the transformative power of therapy—insight and progress that not only heals, but empowers. Today, as an independent clinician, I bring compassion, structure, and evidence-based tools to every session. My mission is to create a safe, affirming space where healing and personal growth happen—one conversation at a time.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates faith-based principles with evidence-based therapeutic practices and techniques to support holistic healing. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reshape negative thought patterns, fostering emotional balance and improved mental well-being. I also incorporate Motivational interviewing, Emotional Regulation and Mindfulness skill while practicing Solution-Focused behavior therapy (SFBT) and Narrative Therapy to guide clients through life transitions—helping them build resilience, clarify goals, and reclaim their personal stories with a renewed sense of purpose.

What you can expect from me

I use the least intrusive approach to treatment, after assessing your concerns and identifying the core issues, we’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan centered around your goals. Each session is designed to be collaborative, goal-oriented, and practical—providing you with greater clarity, effective tools, and a sense of direction as you work toward meaningful change and healing.
