Great to meet you!

Navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, life transitions, or the challenges of living with a chronic illness can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face these experiences alone. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Tampa with seven years of experience in the field, supporting adults through life's challenges. My background includes working as a medical social worker in a dialysis clinic, where I developed a deeper understanding of the connection between physical health and emotional well-being.

I believe everyone has the capacity for growth and meaningful change, even during life's most difficult moments. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your challenges, recognize your strengths, and develop the confidence and skills to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, structured, and tailored to your individual needs. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques to help you better understand your thoughts, manage difficult emotions, and develop healthier coping strategies. I also draw from Seeking Safety, an evidence-based approach that emphasizes emotional safety and practical coping skills, particularly for individuals navigating trauma and substance use.

I balance open exploration with practical strategies so our sessions feel both supportive and productive. Together, we'll work toward increasing self-awareness, improving emotional regulation, establishing healthier boundaries, and making more intentional choices. I regularly check in to ensure our work remains aligned with your goals. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are open to self-reflection and motivated to create positive changes in their lives.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I recognize that reaching out for support can feel intimidating, and my priority is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel genuinely heard and respected. There is no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with.

We'll begin with a thoughtful intake, exploring your experiences, current challenges, personal strengths, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. Together, we'll identify meaningful goals and begin developing a plan that reflects your individual needs and priorities.

My hope is that you leave our first session feeling understood, encouraged, and more confident about taking the next steps. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, substance use, chronic illness, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, I'm here to help you navigate those experiences with compassion and practical guidance.

If you're ready to take the first step toward meaningful change, I welcome you to reach out and schedule your first appointment.
