Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work primarily with adults who are navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, addiction, personality disorders, grief and loss, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are struggling with intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, emotional numbness, mood swings, substance use, relationship instability, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

Life experiences - both expected and unexpected - can deeply impact how we think, feel, and respond to stress. Trauma, chronic stress, and difficult relationships can leave people feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. I provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can process painful experiences, better understand your emotional patterns, and begin developing healthier ways to cope. My goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and rebuild a sense of stability, confidence, and direction in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in cognitive-behavioral principles. Together we explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact - particularly when anxiety, depression, trauma responses, or addiction patterns begin interfering with daily life. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by panic, racing thoughts, emotional reactivity, relationship stress, or difficulty managing overwhelming emotions.

In our work together, we identify triggers, examine negative thought patterns, and develop practical coping strategies that help regulate emotions and reduce distress. I help clients build skills for managing anxiety, improving mood stability, navigating trauma responses, and strengthening healthier relationship patterns. Therapy is structured but flexible, meaning our work is always tailored to your individual experiences, goals, and pace.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin building trust and understanding. We will talk about what brings you to therapy and explore the concerns or symptoms you may currently be experiencing, such as trauma-related stress, panic attacks, depression, substance use struggles, grief, or relationship challenges.

During this conversation, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and discussing how the process can support your growth. We may start exploring the patterns contributing to your stress and outline an initial plan for moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, validated, and supported, with greater clarity about the path ahead and confidence that change is possible.
