My name is Velma, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor with thirteen years' experience in the mental health field. My practice focus is with individuals, couples and teens looking for support. I specialize in helping individuals manage emotional challenges of trauma, bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, child and adult ADHD, learning, academic, and work difficulties, self-esteem issues, chronic illness, and adjustment to change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy is a collaboration between the therapist and client, using CBT, DBT, ACT, and other therapeutic modalities with a person-centered approach to tailor the therapy experience to each individual client.
