Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals overcome anxiety and reclaim their lives from fear, uncertainty, and self-doubt. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), and related conditions such as Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs).

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly explore their challenges while developing practical skills to manage anxiety and build confidence. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and other proven therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique needs.

I understand how overwhelming anxiety can feel and how much courage it takes to seek help. My goal is to empower clients to face their fears, reduce distress, and move toward a life that is guided by their values rather than their anxiety. Whether you are struggling with intrusive thoughts, excessive worry, appearance-related concerns, or compulsive behaviors, I am committed to helping you achieve meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their treatment. I work to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their challenges while building practical skills to navigate them effectively.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), and related anxiety conditions. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which are considered gold-standard treatments for OCD and many anxiety disorders.

Together, we identify patterns that may be maintaining anxiety, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop strategies to reduce avoidance and increase confidence in managing difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations. I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals, recognizing that no two people experience anxiety in the same way.

Above all, I view therapy as a partnership. My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop resilience, and create lasting changes that allow them to live more fully and authentically, rather than being limited by anxiety or fear.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can begin sharing their story at a pace that feels comfortable. My goal is to get to know you as a whole person—not just the challenges that brought you to therapy, but also your strengths, values, and goals.

We will discuss your current concerns, relevant personal history, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. I will ask questions to better understand how your symptoms are affecting your daily life, relationships, work, or overall well-being. This initial session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process and determine whether I am the right fit for your needs.

By the end of our first meeting, clients typically leave with a clearer understanding of their challenges, an initial treatment plan, and a sense of direction for future sessions. For those struggling with anxiety, OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), or related concerns, we may begin identifying patterns that maintain symptoms and discuss evidence-based approaches that can help create meaningful change.

Above all, I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin working together toward their goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, and from the very first session, my focus is on helping clients build hope, confidence, and a path forward.
