Great to meet you!

Hello. I’m Venessa Chambers, a Licensed Professional Counselor. More specifically, I’m someone who’ll hold space for you in the hope of igniting a spark of recovery and healing from within. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and I am a National Certified Counselor who has several years of experience in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I currently provide services for adults 18 and up with mental health diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I work with adults to help them better manage and regulate emotions stemming from depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, grief, and trauma. I also assist couples and families to restore balance and harmony in their lives.

I use a person-centered approach with consideration where you are in the therapeutic process, keeping close attention to your individual needs. My treatment approach is tailored to your needs with an understanding of your personal experiences, cultural identities, and overall life choices. I am a trauma-informed, emotionally focused counselor. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I assist clients with stress management with the help of relaxation techniques, such as Mindfulness Meditation, Grounding, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, and Guided Imagery. I’m a Certified First Responder Counselor, providing services to Police Officers, Firemen/Firewomen, Doctors, Nurses, Military personnel. I also provide counseling services to Spanish-speaking individuals seeking mental health assistance.

I look forward to assisting you with your needs. You do not have to go down the path of healing alone.
