Great to meet you!

Fostering a supportive environment where you can fully be yourself exploring your emotions at your own pace. Warm, genuine, and understanding are three words that I would use to describe my counseling style and I take a person-centered approach with the goal of empowering clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. I believe that caring for your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. If you would not neglect your physical health, it is in my opinion that you should also seek guidance from a mental health professional when struggling with difficult life situations, mental health challenges, and life stressors impacting your mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, client-centered, collaborative and solution-focused. I utilize various types of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from me

I have over 13 years of clinical experience, working with diverse populations as a trauma-informed Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in a variety of settings including in the community, homes, schools, residential programs, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinics. Certified in providing quality mental health services to the LGBTQIA+ community and military service members as a Certified Veteran and Military Mental Health Professional (CVMMHP, I am also trained as a Telemental Health provider. I specialize in treating Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, substance use disorders, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
