Great to meet you!

A lot of people don’t realize how much emotional stress they’re carrying until it starts showing up in their mood, energy, patience, and ability to get through daily life.

I’m Venessia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping adults build practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, stress, anger, and emotional overwhelm. I also work with individuals navigating chronic stress, life pressure, and the emotional impact of ongoing health or life challenges.

My focus is on helping you feel more steady and in control of your emotional world, not just by talking through what’s happening, but by building real, usable strategies that support your day-to-day life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is structured, supportive, and focused on building practical skills that help you better manage emotional challenges in real time. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, and strength-based work.

Rather than focusing only on insight, we work on identifying patterns in how you respond to stress, emotions, and life demands, and then build tools that help you respond in healthier and more effective ways. This may include improving emotional regulation, reducing reactivity, strengthening coping strategies, and increasing your ability to manage daily stress without feeling overwhelmed.

The goal is not to overwhelm you with concepts, but to help you leave each stage of therapy with something practical you can actually use in your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on what has been feeling most difficult for you lately and what you want to change. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We’ll take time to understand your experiences and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful.

Many clients come in feeling emotionally drained, overwhelmed by responsibilities, easily frustrated, or stuck in cycles of stress and burnout. Over time, clients often notice improved emotional control, better stress tolerance, and a stronger sense of stability in their daily lives.

Therapy with me is about building consistency, confidence, and practical emotional tools that support you outside of session—not just during it.

If you’re looking for a therapist who focuses on practical strategies, emotional regulation, and helping you feel more grounded and in control of your daily life, I would be glad to work with you.
