Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping individuals and couples strengthen their relationships and navigate life’s challenges. I graduated from Hanover College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University, specializing in General Family Therapy.

I began my career as a Social Worker for the State of Indiana with the Department of Child Services, where I gained valuable experience supporting families in crisis. I then transitioned to working as a Life Skills Specialist with a local community mental health agency, focusing on school-based programs for elementary-aged children. These experiences deepened my understanding of family systems, child development, and the challenges many families face.

In private practice, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients from many different backgrounds. While I specialize in working with couples, I also work with individuals seeking support for issues such as anxiety, communication challenges, relationship stress, and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy combines behavioral and cognitive-behavioral interventions with a strong emphasis on family systems. I often incorporate the use of a genogram to identify and explore generational patterns that influence our schemas—our core beliefs and ways of seeing the world—so that together, we can better understand how these patterns shape who we are today.

The most important thing to me as a therapist is creating a sense of comfort and safety. I believe meaningful change can only happen when clients feel secure and supported, so I make it a priority to build a trusting therapeutic relationship from the start. I do this by being relatable and authentic, while also offering education and insight to empower my clients. I want clients to understand that while I am a professional, I am also human—and we are partners in the work of creating change.

What you can expect from me

In our early sessions, I spend time getting to know you and your family background to build a foundation for our work together. This understanding allows us to connect current challenges to deeper patterns, which often becomes a source of insight and growth throughout therapy. My style strikes a balance between being warm and supportive while also offering direct, constructive challenges to encourage progress.

My goal is to provide a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives and relationships.
