My approach to therapy

The counseling process starts with unconditional positive regard. I approach each client with genuine warmth, acceptance, and non-judgment in therapy. I strive to create a space where individuals feel safe, supported, and valued for who they are. I demonstrate deep empathy and compassion, seeking to understand and connect with our clients' experiences, emotions, and perspectives. I strive to listen attentively, validate feelings, and offer support without judgment.

What you can expect from me

I use the first session to get to know my clients. We go through presenting issues and concerns, childhood traumas, recent changes, and coping skills being used. The following sessions are more unstructured where we focus on current concerns. As time progresses, I look for behavior patterns that give insight into barriers causing anxiety and depression.
