My approach to therapy

If you are looking for a kind, warmhearted doctor who can give you options to explore therapy and/or medication, we could be a good fit!

What you can expect from me

Our first session will involve collecting information about your or your child's past medical history, family history, developmental history, prior psychiatric treatment and medication trials, and current medications. We will consider your goals for treatment and come up with a treatment plan. All visits are currently conducted via telemedicine, using a HIPAA secure video-conferencing platform. Prescriptions, if needed, will be sent securely and electronically directly to a pharmacy of your choice.

Services provided:

  • Consultations and second opinions (diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations, including for autism spectrum disorder for all ages and review of prior neuropsychological testing)
  • Medication management, including safe deprescribing of medications and minimizing unwanted side effects
  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy
  • Skills-based therapy approaches (including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques)
  • Trauma-informed care approaches (including Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment and the Attachment, Regulation, Competency framework)
  • Parent guidance
  • Assistance with initiating and/or updating 504 plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
  • Consultations to schools

If I am out-of-network with your insurer, I can provide a superbill which you can submit for reimbursement.

Please note that psychiatric and medical emergencies are not appropriate for outpatient office treatment. If there is an imminent risk of danger to self or others, contact 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.
