Great to meet you!

I have experience working with children, families, and individuals as a social worker since 2003, and as a licensed clinical social worker since 2017. Prior to training as a therapist I worked as an advocate for children, youth, and families in various community based non-profit organizations. Witnessing families succeed as I helped ease their burdens led me to the path of clinical social work! I consider it a privilege to be invited and entrusted with the task of walking alongside you during a challenging moment in your life. Seeing you grow and succeed is one of the best rewards I could ask for.

My approach to therapy

Do you have an issue or concern that you're currently going through and want to be able to feel heard and understood? I provide a safe and welcoming space where you can feel open to share your concerns or worries. I use a collaborative style to build upon your strengths and resources and use them as the foundation of the helping process. Together we can work toward creating more balance and peace in your life.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I help you understand and resolve challenges that arise from the multifaceted interactions of physical and mental health, including the social determinants of health (physical/social environment, socioeconomic, social support, education, gender, and culture). I then integrate various therapeutic methods to meet your specific needs, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based, and solution-focused therapy.

What you can expect from me

Our initial session will begin with a brief introduction, then I complete a biopsychosocial assessment, as well as discuss the specific challenges you are facing. Adding detailed information to your intake form ahead of time will aid in this process. We will integrate this information in creating a plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
