Great to meet you!

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Puerto Rico. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard and empowered.

My approach to therapy

I use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach with a primary focus on EMDR therapy. EMDR helps clients process unresolved traumatic or distressing experiences that contribute to current emotional difficulties. I integrate DBT skills to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness, helping clients remain grounded and resilient throughout the healing process.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and supported. I focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship by actively listening to your experiences, concerns, and goals, while fostering an atmosphere of empathy and collaboration.

We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from the process. I will also help you begin building practical coping skills and grounding strategies to support emotional regulation and safety. Together, we will identify next steps and create a treatment approach that feels aligned with your needs, pace, and readiness for change.
