Great to meet you!

I want my clients to know that I am real, warm, and deeply committed to the work we do together. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel both safe and empowering. Therapy is a place where you can show up exactly as you are without fear of judgment.

I specialize in working with teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, self-worth struggles, and the overwhelming pressure to “have it all figured out.” I understand how heavy those seasons can feel, and I approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect for their unique story.

I believe in balancing evidence based strategies with genuine human connection. Therapy with me isn’t cold ......it’s collaborative. We’ll build insight, practical coping tools, and confidence together. I value honesty, boundaries, and authenticity, and I gently challenge my clients when growth calls for it.

My goal is to create a space where teens and young adults feel seen, heard, and understood. Above all, I want my clients to know, you don’t have to do this alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, practical, and growth oriented. I believe healing happens in the context of a safe, authentic connection. Building trust is always the first priority. When clients feel understood and respected, real change becomes possible.

I use evidence based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, and trauma informed care, while tailoring each session to the individual sitting in front of me. There is no “one size fits all” approach. Some days we may focus on building concrete coping tools for anxiety or emotional regulation; other days we may process deeper relational patterns, past experiences, or identity development.

With teens and young adults especially, I work to create a space that feels supportive but not intimidating. I’m collaborative and transparent. I explain the “why” behind interventions and empower clients to take ownership of their growth. I also believe in gently challenging limiting beliefs and encouraging accountability when needed.

Ultimately, my goal is to help clients build insight, resilience, and confidence so they can navigate life outside the therapy room with greater clarity and self-trust.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about connection, clarity, and comfort. I know starting therapy can feel vulnerable especially for teens and young adults. My goal is to make that first meeting feel welcoming and low pressure.

We’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what’s bringing you in, what’s been feeling hard lately, and what you’re hoping might feel different in your life. I also want to understand your strengths, supports, and the bigger picture of your world....family, school, relationships, stressors, and goals.

I’ll explain how therapy works, what confidentiality looks like (especially for teens and parents), and answer any questions you have. You don’t have to have the “right words” or a perfectly clear reason for coming .....we’ll figure that out together.

By the end of the first session, my hope is that you feel heard, understood, and a little less alone and that you have a clearer sense of how we’ll move forward. Therapy is a process, and the first step is simply showing up.
