Great to meet you!

For 20 years, my expertise has centered on trauma-informed therapies, both as a clinician and as a trainer and supervisor of trauma therapists. I have worked with people who have experienced trauma in many forms, from interpersonal violence to fractured or painful connections with loved ones. These experiences can continue to affect your life in ways that may leave you feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, or struggling with grief, particularly within your career and important relationships.

Together, we’ll explore how experiences from early childhood through adulthood can shape the brain’s neurobiology and influence the way you think, feel, respond, and relate to others. We’ll make sense of unhelpful patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and emotional responses, while developing a clear path toward greater relief and understanding. Through collaborative treatment planning, we’ll work toward meaningful, lasting change.

At the core of this work is the belief that there can be a deeper understanding of ourselves, greater freedom in how we live, and the possibility of finding a different way forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, clear, and direct—grounded in trauma-informed care and guided by respectful curiosity, with space for spirituality and humor when it feels meaningful and right for you.

I want to understand the whole person, not just the concerns that bring you to therapy. I use EMDR, CBT, Somatic, Narrative work and other trauma-focused approaches to help you process past experiences so they do not continue to affect your present life.

My work is collaborative; together, we’ll tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals. Beyond reducing symptoms, my goal is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, connect your current experiences and symptoms to their underlying causes, and work through what may be keeping you stuck. From there, we can begin to create meaningful change and move toward living the life you want more fully.

What you can expect from me

After our first session, my hope is that you feel genuinely heard, seen, and understood—and perhaps a little more grounded. I want us to begin mapping out not only what is showing up in your life and what brought you to therapy, but also what may be happening beneath the surface and contributing to those experiences.

I hope you leave with at least one practical takeaway, a greater sense of direction, and the feeling that you’ve begun to make sense of something that may have felt confusing or overwhelming.

Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be your authentic self, without needing to have all the answers or everything figured out.

And perhaps, even after one session, you can leave with a measure of hope—the possibility that developing a deeper understanding of yourself can be the beginning of meaningful change.
