Veronica Tellez-Negret

My name is Veronica Tellez-Negret, I am a Christian Counselor with more than 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I have a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology with a Dual Track in Mental Health and Marriage and Family. I am licensed in the State of Florida as a LMHC and a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health and Marriage and Family. When it comes to the interventions I use the most, I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivation Interviewing, Communication, Role Modeling, Behavioral Therapy, Psychoeducation, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT.

As a Christian Therapist, I integrate Biblical Principles, Prayer and the Word of God to support my clients, along with clinical interventions and strategies. I believe that my client are very brave. I myself have struggled with anxiety, panic disorder and depression; I know that asking for help sometimes can be challenging, time-consuming, and expensive. This is the reason why I am committed to give my best to serve those seeking help.

During our first session, we will pray, I will introduce myself and then I will ask a lot of questions to better understand your situation. I will ask about your presenting problems, any medical conditions, what you have done in the past to overcome this challenge, who is part of your social support, what are your expectations of therapy, if you have had any previous experiences with therapy and how they have helped, or not, in your healing process.
