Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Veronica Vera. I have been licensed in Texas as counselor with 8 years of professional work experience. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling, from the University of Texas Pan-Amerian. My graduate work focused on Trauma and Addiction. My professional background experience includes working with adolescents and adults.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize Carl Roger’s Client-Centered approach, to establish a positive therapeutic rapport and empathetic support for client’s concerns. I assess which therapeutic modalities best suites the individual’s concerns and utilize and eclectic approach, meaning that I draw the most relevant techniques from other evidenced-based therapy modalities together tailored to fit the client’s needs.

What you can expect from our first session

I work as a counselor because I like helping people. I believe in the Golden Rule, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” As a counselor, held by an oath to confidentiality and ethical stands, I provide clients a safe space to share their inmost private matters. Each client is welcomed with unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and acceptance. Clients can expect to be heard, understood and guided toward personal development and well-being.
