Great to meet you!

My name is Verronica, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support.

I bring a unique blend of counseling expertise and nearly 30 years of experience in education to my work as a therapist. I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Sam Houston State University and a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals and families through academic, behavioral, emotional, and life challenges, which has given me a deep understanding of how stress, relationships, life transitions, and past experiences can impact overall well-being.

I work with men, women, adolescents, parents, couples, and neurodivergent individuals who are navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem challenges, and major life changes.

My approach to therapy

My treatment approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Drawing from nearly 30 years of experience supporting adolescents, individuals, families, and guardians in educational and counseling settings, I understand that life transitions, emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and past experiences can significantly impact overall well-being.

I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care to help clients gain insight, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful change. I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and empowered, so I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where healing and growth can occur.

I work with men, women, adolescents, parents, couples, and neurodivergent individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional regulation challenges, self-esteem difficulties, grief, and trauma. Together, we will identify strengths, build resilience, challenge unhelpful patterns, and develop tools that support lasting emotional wellness and healthier relationships.
