Great to meet you!

I have worked in the psychology field since 1996 and earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. I have had many therapists myself which I believe has helped me to understand what it might feel like to seek help from me. I specialize in helping those who have had trauma in their histories and am trained in prolonged exposure and narrative exposure therapies. I also specialize in Obsessive Compulsive disorders, Eating disorders, and Substance Use/Addictions.

My approach to therapy

I believe that people who come to therapy already have all of the abilities and knowledge they need in order to solve their problems, and my role is to be a guide for them so they can access them. I generally use a collaborative approach. I will sometimes employ gentle confrontation in order to help someone move past a barrier.

What you can expect from me

I provide 15-minute consultations which are intended as basic introductions so the prospective patient has an opportunity to ask questions. These are completely cost-free and never billed as paid service. I will also assure you that I do not use sessions as an opportunity to recruit people into my beliefs/politics/religion. My personal opinions, other than observations related to things you bring into session, have no business being a part of your time.
