Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in California for over 10 years. I received my doctorate from York University in Toronto Canada which was named by UNESCO as being one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. I hope to work together with you to create and implement an effective treatment plan. I specialize in mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, and physical problems like chronic pain. I also specialize in many forms of trauma therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and research-based, meaning that I work with you to find which therapy style is most comfortable for you. Included are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, "tapping", and mindfulness. I will help to educate you about the different methods of therapy and the research behind why one method might be more beneficial than another for the issue(s) that brings you to therapy.

What you can expect from me

We will work together to set goals. There can be many goals or just a few. Together we create a treatment plan that lists the goals, the ways that we accomplish them, and how we measure progress towards those goals. I will ask for your approval of the plan, which can change at any time, and which will be reviewed periodically.
