Great to meet you!

One of the things I have learned as a psychologist is that people usually make more sense than they think they do. The ways we worry, avoid, overthink, stay busy, struggle to sleep, or carry the weight of painful experiences often developed for understandable reasons. Together, we will slow down enough to understand those patterns—not to excuse them, but to help you move beyond them with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion.

As someone who immigrated to the United States, I understand that change often asks us to redefine parts of ourselves while discovering strengths we did not know we had. That experience has deepened my appreciation for resilience, identity, and the many ways people grow throughout their lives.

I am a licensed psychologist with advanced fellowship training in Behavioral Sleep Medicine at Stanford University. I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, insomnia, trauma-related difficulties, chronic pain, and life transitions, and I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels like two people trying to understand something together. I bring clinical experience, curiosity, and evidence-based tools. You bring your lived experience, your values, and your goals. My hope is that our conversations help you leave each session with a deeper understanding of yourself and practical ways to make life feel a little lighter.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I want to understand what brings you to therapy, what has been difficult, and what you hope will be different. My role is not to judge or rush to solutions, but to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and develop a clear understanding of your experiences. If there is one thing I hope clients experience in our work together, it is this: meaningful change does not begin with becoming someone else. It begins with understanding yourself well enough to make choices that are more intentional, more flexible, and more aligned with the life you want to live.
