I try every day to be an authentic human who loves and respects the individuality of all other humans. Being a clinical social worker for 25 years, is reflected in my personal values and faith system. My goal is to spread kindness like confetti which has spanned serving in Baltimore, Jacksonville, Atlanta and Eagle County, CO. I have a solution focused mindset, believe in the mind body connection and giving ourselves grace. Life is not always easy and sometimes we need short term professional support, some sunshine, a deep breath, a 20 second hug and some new found eyes on the situation.

My approach to therapy is to listen first while gathering information to remain patient focused. Some folks just need to vent, some need to learn new coping skills to lesson symptoms of anxiety and or depression others need solution focused care including challenging an all or nothing mindset. When appropriate, I utlize humor and often end sessions with a hug.

In our first session, I will ask them to share their story regarding why they are desiring professional counseling at this time. I always leave a client with a homework assignment, which is usually something easily attainable.
