Great to meet you!

I am a psychodynamic-existential therapist attuned to identity, belonging, meaning-making, and inner transformation. My practice supports clients navigating grief, trauma, relational challenges, emotional disconnections, and the complexities of cultural identity.

With warmth and depth, I invite clients to slow down, deepen their self-understanding, and move toward healing in mind, body and spirit. My passion is to support you in becoming you, in this world we all live in - as your self, and as part of something greater.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is non-pathological, intuitive, relational, and eclectic, integrating eastern and western theoretical and philosophical foundations. I provide psychodynamic-oriented, existentialism-inspired, and process-focused therapy for those seeking expansions in their human capacity and spiritual growth.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who struggle with anxiety, self-criticism, emotional disconnection, relationship difficulties, or a sense that they have lost touch with themselves. Throughout our sessions, we will focus on understanding deeper roots of your psychic pain, the unconscious mind, behavioral patterns, and your sense of self in relations to past and current life's limitations. I provide clients with a unique space to cultivate reflection, in the context of therapeutic connection, and gradually incorporate growing insight with desired behavioral changes in everyday life.

I work with individuals of all cultures, beliefs, professions, and self-identities.

Areas of my practice include anxiety, depression, sense of self, intimate relationships, post-traumatic stress, life transitions (transitional-age youth population, cultural adaptation, etc). I provide services in English and/or Mandarin Chinese; I also speak some Spanish.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to see whether working together feels like a good fit. We might talk about what brings you to therapy, what feels most difficult right now, and what you hope for yourself moving forward.

You do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, self-critical, or unsure of how to put their experiences into words. We can start wherever feels most comfortable and move at your pace.

While I do not believe in certain magic cure, I can promise to do my very best to support you in this self-discovery journey.
