Great to meet you!

Victor is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York. He focuses on utilizing the creative process as a means of self-expression and exploring mental health. His clients often work on resolving past traumas involving relationships, reconciling faith and sexuality identity (LGBTQ+), parent-child conflict and connection disparities, immigration/acculturation, and men's issues. He possesses experience working with a wide variety of individuals but specializes working with individuals in these categories. He is comfortable working with all ages from eight years-old and up. For more details, please visit his Headway profile.

My approach to therapy

Victor's approach to therapy is client-centered and trauma-informed. He mainly utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. In addition to utilizing these therapies in a talk-therapy context, he often uses Art Therapy. He has completed EMDR Level One training, which is especially useful for the processing of trauma. Lastly, he is currently also working on a Life Coaching Certification.

What you can expect from me

Clients should expect to complete sessions with Victor feeling more at peace than when they began. They should feel compelled to practice self-reflection and make small, progressive changes. Over time, they should feel a sense of relief and growth.
