Great to meet you!

Most psychiatric appointments last 15-20 minutes. Mine don't.

I believe meaningful recovery from depression takes time. Every visit is a dedicated 45-minute session integrating medication management with psychotherapy, allowing us to understand not only what you're experiencing, but why—and how to create lasting change.

My practice focuses on adults struggling with depression, anxiety, burnout, trauma, and treatment-resistant mood disorders. Rather than simply adjusting medications, we'll work together to understand patterns, strengthen resilience, and develop a treatment plan that fits your life. When appropriate, I also offer advanced treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Take a look at my website mensanapsych.com to learn more about my philosophy and what to expect. If you're in the neighborhood, you're also welcome to stop by and see the office—I've intentionally created a space that feels more like a peaceful retreat than a traditional clinic because healing begins the moment you walk through the door.

My approach to therapy

I believe the most effective psychiatric care addresses both symptoms and the underlying patterns that sustain them. My approach integrates evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy, allowing us to understand not only what you're experiencing, but also the biological, psychological, and social factors contributing to it.

Treatment is collaborative and individualized. Rather than relying on medication changes alone, we focus on developing practical skills, strengthening healthy routines, improving relationships, and addressing the beliefs and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck.

What you can expect from me

By the end of the session, you'll have a clear understanding of my impressions, an initial treatment plan, and plenty of time to ask questions. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss the risks, benefits, and alternatives together. If psychotherapy or TMS may be helpful, we'll talk about how those fit into your care. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, informed, and hopeful about the path forward.
