Great to meet you!

Bilingual counselor (English/Spanish) supporting young adults to seniors through life transitions and emotional growth: Life presents unique challenges at every stage. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals from young adulthood through their senior years.

My approach is rooted in both professional training and personal experience. My journey began in the rural countryside of the Dominican Republic before immigrating to New Jersey at age 12. This transition—from the quiet of the campo to growing up in Plainfield—gave me a deep personal understanding of adaptation, resilience, and the complexities of finding one’s footing in a new environment. I believe in practicing the balance I preach. My rural roots instilled in me a love for the natural world—so when I am not in the office, you can usually find me spending time with my family, friends, animals, tending to my plants or staying physically active.

My approach to therapy

I work from a Humanistic orientation, which means I view you as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms. My goal is to create a genuine, non-judgmental partnership where you feel safe to explore your story.

I take a holistic approach, drawing on evidence-based tools to fit your unique needs. I integrate skills from CBT and DBT to help you manage unhelpful thoughts and regulate difficult emotions, while using Mindfulness and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help you stay grounded. Using Positive Psychology and Non-Violent Communication (NVC), I help you build resilience and improve how you connect with others.

What you can expect from me

I specialize in helping clients build resiliency skills—specifically focusing on optimism and self-efficacy. Whether you are navigating anger management challenges, wanting to improve communication, or simply need practical life skills to handle daily stressors, we will outline a clear path forward.
