Great to meet you!

Dr. Victoria Cefaratti-Miller, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience helping adults manage anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I specialize in providing compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals seeking to improve their emotional well-being, understand themselves better, and develop practical strategies for navigating life's challenges.

My clinical experience includes treating anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and concerns related to self-esteem and relationships. I also have extensive experience working with adults with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions, including providing comprehensive psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments.

My therapeutic approach is supportive, collaborative, and individualized. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions to help patients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, manage difficult emotions, reduce stress, and develop effective coping skills. I believe successful therapy combines empathy and understanding with practical strategies that help create meaningful, lasting change.

Throughout my career, I have worked in private practice, hospitals, educational settings, and multidisciplinary healthcare environments. My experience includes helping individuals cope with chronic pain, medical conditions, disability-related concerns, family challenges, and significant life changes. I also have specialized experience conducting adult ADHD and autism evaluations.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. My approach is warm, compassionate, practical, and collaborative, with an emphasis on creating a safe, judgment-free environment. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, ADHD-related challenges, or the stress of a major life transition, I take time to understand your unique experiences and goals. I draw on my extensive clinical experience and evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help you identify patterns that may be holding you back, develop healthier coping strategies, and build emotional resilience. I believe in working together at a pace that feels comfortable while focusing on meaningful improvements in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I'll ask about your current concerns, relevant personal and mental health history, relationships, and the challenges you would like to address. We'll discuss your goals and what you hope to gain from treatment, while allowing you to share at a pace that feels comfortable. Together, we'll develop an individualized treatment plan based on your needs. In subsequent sessions, I use approaches such as CBT, supportive psychotherapy, and practical behavioral strategies to help you manage symptoms, understand emotional patterns, improve coping skills, and make progress toward your goals. My focus is on creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship that supports meaningful, sustainable change.
