Great to meet you!

I am Victoria and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas and Washington and the owner of Sound Mind Therapy and Counseling Services, PLLC. I specialize in working with identity exploration, women’s issues, ADHD, and trauma. I’ve worked with all ages across a multitude of settings including outpatient, education, hospice, rehabilitation, community, and inpatient care. What I love most about this work is witnessing that shift—when clients start feeling more confident, clear-headed, or finally understand themselves in a new way. I’m a creative problem solver who believes therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Everyone’s journey is different, and my job is to help you find what actually works for you.

My approach to therapy

I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from modalities such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, but I’m always person-centered—you’re the expert on your own life. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I’ll offer insights and new perspectives, but we’re working together as a team. Sessions feel like talking with a friend who genuinely gets it—down to earth and real—but with the professional boundaries and ethical framework you deserve. I use relatability, humor, and affirmation to create a space where you can share openly without judgment.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about building rapport and getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions like what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get out of it, and what kind of support feels right for you. Then you can share your story at whatever pace feels comfortable. My priority is creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can express yourself freely. A strong therapeutic connection starts with trust, and that’s what we’ll be building from day one.
