Great to meet you!

I am a Latina therapist born and raised in Arizona, and I work with individuals ages 3 and up, including children, teens, and adults. I try to offer a space through counseling that is warm, comforting, safe, collaborative, and free of judgement. In person or online, we can work together to create new goals, understand your feelings and yourself more, and work towards feeling more in control.

My approach to therapy

I emphasize the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship where we can learn and understand your feelings together and work toward meaningful change. I draw on a blend of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Play Therapy, adapting what I use to what resonates with you. This may include working on feeling unstuck between your own needs and the expectations from culture, society, or family and friends.

What you can expect from me

Our sessions together may look like talking, learning, laughing, and sometimes using play or art. In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other, explore what brought you in, and start mapping out what you want to work toward. I meet you where you are and tailor every session to what works best for you, so you leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more ready for what is next.
