Great to meet you!

Sometimes emotions can feel difficult to understand, especially when your mood, energy, or motivation seem to change unexpectedly. Whether you're a teen trying to make sense of your feelings or an adult seeking greater emotional balance, you deserve a space where you feel understood rather than judged.

I'm Victoria, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston. My professional experience includes working in a community mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) clinic, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) centers, and counseling settings.

I'm particularly passionate about helping teens and adults navigate depression, intense emotions, mood changes, anxiety, and challenges with emotional regulation. I believe understanding the person behind the emotions is just as important as addressing the challenges themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based strategies to help you better understand the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. During sessions, we may explore recurring thought patterns, identify triggers, practice reframing unhelpful beliefs, and develop practical coping skills you can apply in your daily life.

My experience working with teens and adults has shaped my understanding that everyone's experiences and needs are unique. Rather than focusing on labels, I take time to understand your story, recognize your strengths, and explore what matters most to you. Together, we'll work toward greater emotional balance, healthier relationships, and meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

You set the pace. You don't need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy, while I learn more about your background and experiences.

Therapy is a space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and explore your experiences without pressure or judgment. Sessions are available in person or through telehealth to help you find an approach that feels comfortable and accessible. If you're seeking support for yourself or your teen, we'll work together to understand what's happening beneath the surface and develop tools that support meaningful, lasting growth. You deserve more than just getting through the day. You deserve to feel understood, connected, and confident in who you are.
