Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with four years of experience specializing in work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating significant life transitions, grief, and mood disorders.

My therapeutic approach focuses on helping clients struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma, particularly when related to family or relationship issues. I am skilled at identifying and addressing unhealthy relational patterns and coping mechanisms.

I also offer support for clients experiencing existential dread, incorporating philosophical conversations to explore skepticism and the mystery of the meaning of life.

I hold an additional certification in trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and specialized training in art therapy, which I earned through my Master's degree program in Marriage and Family Therapy at Loyola Marymount University.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is fundamentally person-centered, adapting to best meet each client's unique personality and needs. This approach is guided by principles of curiosity, creativity, and honesty.

Within the supportive therapeutic relationship, I use compassionate, logical questioning and dialogue to gently challenge harmful thought patterns and unhealthy relational habits.

Additionally, for clients who wish to incorporate a spiritual dimension, I am equipped to offer a Christian, Biblical perspective. If a faith-based approach is not desired, I commit myself to understanding and respecting your personal core beliefs and values, whatever they may be.

What you can expect from me

The initial session focuses on understanding the client's current challenges, inherent strengths, and overall personality. Beyond just identifying difficulties, a primary objective is to foster comfort within the therapeutic environment. This involves familiarizing clients with the physical space, my communication approach, and the types of questions asked, while also establishing clear, achievable short-term and long-term goals. My commitment is to maintain an atmosphere that is consistently friendly, respectful, and inquisitive.
